Referees
Our club VMHC Basko is a club where hockey, sportsmanship and
socializing and coming together! With our growing number of members, we are proud of who we are
are as a club and we focus on the future of the club.
We cannot do without our referees and match supervisors when playing matches.
For the youngest age groups (U8-U9-U10), play supervisors are deployed who are provided by the team itself (the coach and/or parents), with the focus on the children's enjoyment.
From U12 matches onwards, referees are assigned by the match secretariat (either directly or via the coach who distributes officiating duties within the team).
All youth members are required to obtain their referee diploma from the age of 2 U14.
Whistling duty
In the week prior to your refereeing shift, you will receive an email with details and a match code for entering the score via the Lisa app (the DWF, digital match form).
Make sure you arrive 15 minutes in advance and report to the bar in the canteen for a referee's bib and whistle.
Once you have been assigned, you cannot cancel! You must arrange a replacement yourself if necessary. Officiating is mandatory as stipulated by Basko and the KNHB. Not showing up is not an option: after all, you are letting down two teams and your fellow referee. Since it is logistically impossible for Basko to arrange replacements in the event of cancellations, you must therefore organize this yourself in a timely manner.
Guidance for novice referees
Basko strives to guide novice referees as well as possible. This can be provided by members of the refereeing guidance committee, or you can call upon the team managers or the parents of the referee in question. You can submit a request via [email protected]. We will try to fulfill this for you, but are dependent on the availability of our volunteers.
Association Arbitration Plan Basko (VAP)
Basko has drawn up a VAP, among other things for the training and guidance of our club referees. This plan is part of our club's general policy. This plan can be viewed via the link below.
CS Training
We at Basko also manage a small group of enthusiastic referees who are eager to officiate (CS ). Primarily for D1 and H1, as they no longer have national referees in the 3rd class, but potentially for other teams as well. We are still looking for reinforcements here, as we are (too) short-staffed (we are already struggling to adequately staff D1 and H1). Are you interested in the CS training? Get in touch via [email protected].
