The clubhouse is called the Baskot and is located at the De Korze sports complex in Veldhoven.

Match kit

To show that you belong to VMHC Basko, every member plays in the same kit during matches. In this way, we project unity and clarity as a club. All official league matches must be played in the Basko kit. This consists of a blue shirt and a black skirt for the ladies, and black shorts for the gentlemen. The VMHC Basko logo is displayed on the shirt. Both ladies and gentlemen wear blue socks during matches.

Although we understand that it is fun to play matches in your own kits, this is expressly not the intention and is also not permitted by the KNHB. We therefore request everyone to adhere to the kit as prescribed and to be proud to play in it. The match kit applies to (practice) matches from 6-a-side up to and including the veterans. During training sessions, players are free to wear other sportswear.

The away kit consists of the same black shorts/skirts, but with a red shirt and white socks. Every member is required to purchase this (at a 40% discount at Sporthuis Olympia) so that all teams have the same appearance, even at sports clubs with similar Basko colors.

Are you considering providing a team with clothing? Then read about the possibilities here.

Hockey Stick Besides the uniform, the hockey stick is of course indispensable. Get good advice and note: an expensive stick is definitely not always the best stick.

Protection The KNHB mandates the wearing of a mouthguard. Mouthguards can be purchased at a sports store or fitted by a dentist. Mouthguards are also available for purchase at the bar. The KNHB also mandates the wearing of proper shin guards when playing hockey. Wearing hockey gloves is not mandatory and depends on the player's preference.

Shoes There is a wide selection of different types of sports shoes suitable for hockey. It is important that the (artificial grass) shoes fit well. Ask for advice at a sports store.

Tracksuit and (sports) bag What remains is a tracksuit that can be worn before and after matches and, of course, during training. And a good sports bag to put all your hockey gear in completes the set.

Sporthuis Olympia The official Basko kit is available at Sporthuis Olympia, Dorpstraat 163, 5504 HE Veldhoven. In addition, they naturally also have all kinds of other equipment such as sticks, shoes, mouthguards, balls, etc.

Lost and found

In the Baskot, at the end of the hall, you will find the coat rack with lost and found items on your left. Clothing is hung on the rack, and loose items such as water bottles, mouthguards, gloves, etc., are placed in the bins on the rack. Found hockey sticks are usually also hung on the rack. Have you or your child lost something? Feel free to check for yourself if it is hanging there. If you find lost items yourself along the sidelines/dugout, please place them in this location as well. Unfortunately, the number of lost items per half-season is so large that we clear out the items (during the winter and summer breaks) and take them to a container for charity.
